Jennifer Lockwood is a member of the elite Technical Team for the Northwest Professional
Ski Instructors of America, Training Coordinator and Snowsports Instructor at Mt. Hood
Meadows Mountain Resort and the owner of PEAK Fitness NW in Mount Hood, Oregon.

30+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Jenn brings a unique blend of experience
and knowledge to her clients due to her 33 years as a certified personal trainer
and her life-long passion for skiing. She is a Children's Specialist Clinician and
accredited Senior and Freestyle Specialist with PSIA-NW.
​
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS An Exercise & Sports Science Degree from
Oregon State University led to certifications as an Exercise Physiologist (ACSM),
Certified Personal Trainer & Health Coach (ACE), Precision Nutrition Level 1 and
Outdoor Action Fitness Level 2.
​
PASSION FOR PERFORMANCE Her passion for sports conditioning led
to work with high school soccer programs; tennis, golf and Western Hockey
League players.
​
FUN. ADVENTURE. RESULTS. FUN and variety are key elements of Jenn's
exercise programs. She incorporates non-traditional elements to her workouts
and strives to create a sense of adventure with clients. Her mission is to help
people envision possibilities, achieve goals and discover a sense of fun-filled
adventurous moments in life.

Skiing and snowboarding are both intense sports that require an advanced level of aerobic and anaerobic fitness, muscle endurance and strength, balance, and core stability.
PEAK Ski Conditioning will focus on building your overall athleticism, increasing your fitness level, preventing injury, and increasing your performance on the mountain. Avoid injuries and extreme muscle soreness by ensuring your body is properly conditioned.

This program will:

Deceleration training helps in absorbing landings & injury prevention

Core training increases discipline for flying through moguls

Whether you ski the greens or the double diamonds, this twice weekly group workout will physically prepare you for the best skiing or riding of your life!
Year-Round Ski Conditioning Schedule:

May: Active play, wind down from ski season

June-August: Strength training & cardiovascular

September-December: Anaerobic endurance, agility, power, balance, cardio & strength aka athletic conditioning

January-March: Ski conditioning maintenance
Each phase of training builds on the fitness developed during the previous phase.
